It's ain't easy to pay the fare.

My eyes are going blind from all this snow.
And today, she slipped on the ice.
Last night I dreamed about Acapulco
Life ain't easy.

My eyes are going blind....

She tells me that I'll mellow out with age.
She tells me to indulge in tears of rage.
I'd like to go where snow turns, into sage.
Life ain't easy.

I suppose I should find a job and settle down.
Marry J and make life in this town.
Travel when vacations roll around.
